Welcome from the Headteacher

It is a real pleasure to welcome you to Avenue Primary Academy, part of the Cirrus Primary Academy Trust. We are a large, vibrant school where over 1,000 children, aged 3 to 11, learn, grow, and thrive together. Our specialist provision for pupils with Autism, based across two sites, is an important and highly valued part of our school community.

In 2024, we were delighted to be graded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted – recognition of the dedication, hard work, and achievements of our pupils, staff, and families.

Avenue is proud to be a truly inclusive and multicultural school. We celebrate diversity and ensure that every child feels valued. As a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion and a Gold Rights Respecting School, we place safeguarding, wellbeing, and respect for others at the heart of everything we do, supported by our bespoke health and wellbeing curriculum.

Our children achieve highly, make excellent progress, and value good attendance. They benefit from a broad and exciting curriculum, enriched by a wide range of extracurricular opportunities. Their outstanding behaviour, combined with strong, supportive relationships with staff, helps our pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and character.

We greatly value the partnership we share with parents and carers. Your support, alongside the fantastic work of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), ensures that Avenue remains a place where children flourish both academically and personally.

Finally, being part of the Cirrus Primary Academy Trust allows us to share expertise, resources, and best practice with other schools, strengthening the education we provide.
