Wednesday 17th December:
Children can come to school wearing a Christmas / Winter jumper if they would like to.
The children will be doing some Christmas / Winter activities and having their class parties.
Year 5 DT Resources
This half term in DT, the children will be designing and making hats in the style of Phillip Treacy. These will be inspired by different European landmarks. Please can you encourage your child to bring in resources to create their hat. This could include: cardboard boxes, newspapers, plastic bottles, lollypop sticks, Sellotape, scraps of fabric and string or another other useful materials you may have at home.
Please can materials be brought into school by Monday 15th December.
Anti-Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying Week 2025 will take place from Monday 10th - Friday 14th November, with the theme: Power for Good. The children will complete activities throughout the week and will finish off with Odd Socks Day on Friday 14th November. Children are invited to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.
Year 5 Dark Ages
This half term, our topic has been ‘The Dark Ages’, and Year 5 have really enjoyed bringing history to life!
This week, we took part in a fantastic Viking workshop where the children explored real artefacts, learned about Viking life and even joined in with a lively mock battle. Everyone had a brilliant time and learned so much.
In DT, we’ve also been busy designing and making our own Anglo-Saxon dwellings, showing great creativity and teamwork.
It’s been a wonderful half term of hands-on learning and enthusiasm — well done, Year 5!
Year 5 Parent Forum 12.09.25
We would like to invite parents and carers to our Year 5 and Year coffee morning on 24th September from 9:00 - 9:45am. This will be an opportunity for you to meet school staff and other parents. In advance, please watch the following video which welcomes you to the year group and provides key information.
