The Year 3 Team

Wednesday 17th December:

Children can come to school wearing a Christmas / Winter jumper if they would like to. 

The children will be doing some Christmas / Winter activities

Year 3 Local Walks to St John's Church

During the weeks beginning the 8th and 15th of December, Year 3 will be walking to the local church to rehearse and perform their Christmas performance. We look forward to seeing many of you there to enjoy the performance. Please check your emails for the date and time that your child's class will be performing and to request tickets.

 

Anti-Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 will take place from Monday 10th - Friday 14th November, with the theme: Power for Good. The children will complete activities throughout the week and will finish off with Odd Socks Day on Friday 14^th November. Children are invited to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

 

Year 3 Autumn 1 Blurb

This half term in Year 3, we have been learning all about Ancient Egypt. We have learnt where Egypt is, and what daily life was like from their beliefs of gods and goddesses to how and why the pyramids were built. The children learnt all about the mummification process and even wrapped each other as mummies. A highlight of the half term was creating a sarcophagus out of clay which we then painted.

Log Ins

 

In your child's green reading record, you will find a log in for Spelling Shed and Times Tables Rockstars. Please encourage your child to log in and use these resources at least once a week at home. They are fun and very beneficial to your child's learning in school. Thank you for your continued support. 

Welcome to Year 3 Information 

We would like to invite parents and carers to our Year 3 coffee morning on 23rd September from 9:00 - 9:45am. This will be an opportunity for you to meet school staff and other parents. In advance, please watch the following video which welcomes you to the year group and provides key information.
