Old Toy Donations!

Next week in our history lessons, we are looking at old toys and how toys have changed over time. If anyone has any old toys they would be willing to donate for us to use during these lessons we would be so grateful! This could be old dolls, teddies, cars, wooden blocks or even old consoles (Nintendo, Game Boy etc). Please bring them in clearly labelled for your child to give to their class teacher if you have something you'd be happy to share for the week! Thank you :)

Anti-bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 will take place from Monday 10th - Friday 14th November, with the theme: Power for Good. The children will complete activities throughout the week and will finish off with Odd Socks Day on Friday 14^th November. Children are invited to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

Year 1 Zen Den

Year 1 have had a brilliant start to the school year and have settled in exceptionally well. Our first topic, Zen Den, has been all about learning how to keep our minds and bodies healthy. The children have really enjoyed exploring the different ways we can look after ourselves – from learning about the parts of the body to discovering the importance of exercise, sleep, and a balanced diet.

A real highlight of the half term was making our own healthy smoothies! The children began by tasting a variety of fruits and thinking carefully about the flavours and textures they liked best. They used this to design their own smoothie recipes, considering which fruits would work well together. Finally, the children had the chance to bring their creations to life by making and tasting their very own smoothies – a hands-on and healthy way to end the topic!

Year 1 Parent Forum 

We would like to invite parents and carers to our Year 1 coffee morning on Monday 22nd September from 9:00 - 9:45am. This will be an opportunity for you to meet school staff and other parents. In advance, please watch the following video which welcomes you to the year group and provides key information. If you have any questions following this video, please use this meeting as an opportunity to discuss them.
