Update: Cardboard boxes needed for Tuesday 31st January
Next week, we will be designing, making and evaluating our own vehicles. Please bring in a small cardboard box that you would like to use for your vehicle for example, tissue boxes, small amazon delivery boxes, food boxes. Please try to bring in a box smaller than a shoe box. Unfortunately children will not be able to bring in toilet roll tubes or food boxes that have contained nuts.
Please bring your boxes in on Tuesday 31st January only (we will be making them on this day).
Thank you.

Class Party Update: If children are wearing a Winter or Christmas top or accessory tomorrow, they can wear it to school rather than bring it to change in to.
12th December 2022
Dear Parents/Carers,
Next half term, as part of our music lessons, your child will be learning to play the recorder. We will practise on a weekly basis during the Spring and Summer terms. We would be most grateful if you could supply your child with a named descant recorder which they can use throughout the rest of the year. The main purpose of your child having their own recorder is because they will use them throughout KS2 as well as for hygiene reasons. Recorders are available from most music shops and are also on Amazon, costing around £5.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Yours faithfully,
Miss Walls

WELCOME TO YEAR 2
We are all really looking forward to seeing the children on Monday 5th September. Your children’s teachers have planned wonderful activities to welcome the children into their new classes and will be spending time getting to know your child and helping them feel confident as they begin the new year.
Morning drop-off: Please drop off your child at the Dorset Road gate. The gates will be open 8:10am – 8:30am. The children will then make their way along the decking to their new classrooms.
If you also have a child in year 3-6 please drop and collect your children off via the Dorset Road gate and they can find their way through the school to their classroom. Please note, only children with siblings in Nursery to Year 2 should use the Dorset Road gate.
Uniform
Please remember that children must be in the correct school uniform which should be clearly labelled with their name and class. (see our school website for full details of the uniform policy). Although resources will be provided in school, if your child wishes to bring their own pencil cases then they can but please ensure that this, and the contents, is fully labelled.
Please ensure that your child’s P.E kit is in school from the start of term and again, each item is clearly labelled with their name and class. The children will require their P.E. kit during the first week of school and this should include trainers for outdoor use. Smart watches are not permitted in school, due to safeguarding reasons.
The children will also require a labelled swimming kit as they will start swimming on the 5th September.
