Welcome to Year 6! This is the final year of Key Stage Two and also the year of the government’s statutory End of Keys Stage assessments in reading, writing, mathematics, grammar, punctuation & spelling and science. We do lots to celebrate the children’s final year at Avenue and to prepare them for their next exciting adventure in Key Stage Three. We have a residential trip to Hindleap Warren at the start of the year and at the end of the year we put on a production to show to the rest of the school and parents. On the last day of term we have an end of year celebration after school and everyone is given a leavers' T-shirt and year book.
