Welcome to Year 2

We follow the National Curriculum and create engaging learning journeys that include a range of exciting topics such as: Growing Up, Down Under, Brilliant Britain and Nature Detectives. At the start of the year, we perform a show called 'Growing Up' where we explain life cycles. Within our topics, we link our learning of the subjects covered in the National Curriculum. Some of the highlights throughout the year include: making a healthy salad; learning to play the recorder; planting bulbs and seeds; creating a moving vehicle and sculpting faces out of clay. This exciting year completes children’s journey in Key Stage 1 and prepares them for their transition to Key Stage 2.
