Creating individual paths to bright futures

The Avenue Primary Academy ASD Special Opportunity base offers full time education for pupils age 4 -11 years, with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and an Education Health and Care Plan. We believe that our pupils are on their own, individual path to success and we ensure that we tailor our curriculum, support and environment to help them achieve that success.

Pupils within our Opportunity Base are all able to access mainstream learning and social opportunities in Avenue Primary Academy.

We offer regular, personalised opportunities for our pupils to join lessons and activities with their mainstream peers.

Our base currently comprises of ; Lions, Tigers, Giraffe, Zebras, Explorers & Trailblazers.  Each base has large teaching rooms and an outdoor learning environment.  We have a sensory room and a therapy room.

Pupils within our base also use our school swimming pool for regular swimming lessons as well as our school sports facilities.
