  We are delighted to say that on 17/11/22 Avenue were re-accredited with the Wellbeing Award for Schools. This is truly a whole school effort and is an external validation of what we already knew: that Health and Wellbeing is at the heart of our school and influences everything that we do. Thank you to all the Parents and Carers who filled in the surveys for the award.

  

• Remembrance Parade

  Remembrance Parade

  Miss. Walls, Mr. Burke and our Avenue Ambassadors attended the Remembrance Parade yesterday and laid a poppy wreath on the Belmont Cenotaph.

  The Ambassadors also sold poppies at the school gates every morning last week.

  Thank you for representing our school, we are very proud.

  

• Belonging Board

  We created a new belonging board display made up of flags. The children decorated a flag to represent themselves as part of Avenue Primary Academy. The children could decide how to decorate their flag. Some children decided to use their favourite colour, draw something that made them happy, draw their favourite thing or the flag of their own country. Thank you to all the children and staff who made a flag. The display looks amazing!

  

• Netball winners!

  A huge congratulations to Avenue's netball teams for their wins against St Dunstan's today. Both the A & B teams played in their first matches this season. They worked really hard and showed excellent sportsmanship.

• Fundraising for the RHS

  Congratulations to Hannah & Robert on their fundraising for the Royal Horticultural Society. 

   

  They have been holding plant sales for many years, beginning with a few spare tomato plants, and has now grown to include both vegetables and flowers.

   

  We are very proud of their achievements!
